Terms of Service

Effective 27 March 2026

1. About AI Ready Score

AI Ready Score (“the Platform”) is a free AI readiness assessment tool operated by the SME Association of Australia, a not-for-profit organisation. The Platform helps small and medium-sized enterprises understand their readiness for AI adoption across eight business dimensions.

By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. What the Assessment Provides

The AI Ready Score assessment generates:

  • An overall AI readiness score (0-100) across 8 dimensions
  • An AI-generated report with analysis, risk assessment, and recommendations
  • An indicative AI investment range based on your responses
  • A 90-day implementation roadmap

3. Important Limitations

Please read carefully:

  • The assessment provides indicative results only based on self-reported information
  • It does not constitute formal technology, business, legal, or financial advice
  • AI investment ranges are estimates based on industry benchmarks, not formal quotes
  • The AI-generated report may contain general observations that should be validated with a qualified professional
  • Scores are relative assessments and should not be used as the sole basis for business decisions

For specific advice on AI strategy, implementation, or compliance, we recommend engaging a qualified technology advisor or consultant.

4. Accuracy of Your Information

The quality of your assessment depends on the accuracy of your responses. You agree to provide truthful and accurate information. We are not responsible for inaccurate results caused by incorrect or misleading responses.

5. Intellectual Property

The AI Ready Score methodology, scoring framework, and assessment questions are the intellectual property of the SME Association of Australia. The methodology is informed by AI Singapore's AI Readiness Index (AIRI), used under a CC-BY 4.0 licence.

Your personalised report is generated for your use. You may share it with your advisors, accountants, or consultants. You may not reproduce the assessment methodology, questions, or scoring system for commercial purposes without written permission.

6. Free Service

The AI Ready Score assessment is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice. We may introduce premium features in the future, which will be clearly identified and optional.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in that policy.

8. Email Communications

By completing an assessment, you consent to receive:

  • Your assessment report via email
  • A Day 3 follow-up email with your top 3 priority actions
  • A Day 30 follow-up email inviting you to retake the assessment

You can unsubscribe from follow-up emails at any time using the link in any email. Your report email is a one-time delivery and is not a subscription.

9. Availability and Uptime

We aim to keep the Platform available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Report generation depends on third-party AI services and may occasionally experience delays or temporary unavailability. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service interruptions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform
  • We are not liable for decisions made based on assessment results
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service (which is zero for the free assessment)

11. White-Label Deployments

If you are accessing this assessment through an accounting firm, advisory practice, or other organisation, your data may be shared with that organisation as part of their advisory engagement with you. The referring organisation's own privacy policy and terms may also apply.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, Australia.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated via email where possible.
